HYBRID COURSE
ADJ1
-INTRODUCTION TO ADMINISTRATION OF JUSTICE
This is an introductory course into the study of
the administration of justice or as many in the academic and professional
world have outlined criminal justice.
This course of study is accompanied by a primary text; Criminal Justice,
brief edition, authored by Jay S. Albanese, which discusses the
administration of justice from crime and violence through corrections in
the community.
Each of the twelve (12) chapters is accompanied by a POWERPOINT outline of
instruction material which discusses each subject area in detail,
including contemporary issues and trends, media and criminal justice and a
critical thinking exercise which will be the focus of our weekly on line
discussion.
The implementation of this hybrid course will utilize one of the week’s
classroom attendance days in discussion of text material, with the second
day session being used to discuss in an on line manner topical areas which
will result in essay responses; following a critical thought process.

Justice, brief edition, which will assist in guidance through the
semester’s work. Because
of the abbreviated face-to-face contact sessions during this semester,
each student MUST come to class, prepared to discuss the course material.
The hybrid class will have a midterm and final examination, which will be
discussed during class sessions.
